2. Eligibility

You may use Bazaarist only if you are legally capable of entering into agreements applicable to your use of the Services.

Certain Services, accounts, purchases, or contributor opportunities may have additional eligibility or age requirements.

You agree to provide truthful and accurate information when required.

3. Travel Information

Travel information changes frequently.

Information concerning prices, operating hours, transportation, reservation requirements, visas, immigration, local laws, health requirements, safety, accessibility, business operations, events, weather, and similar matters may change after publication.

Although Bazaarist aims to provide useful and accurate information, we do not guarantee that every item will always be complete, accurate, current, or appropriate for your circumstances.

You are responsible for independently confirming information important to your trip.

For passports, visas, immigration, health requirements, laws, entry restrictions, and official safety information, consult appropriate government or authoritative sources.

4. No Professional Advice

Bazaarist provides travel-planning and general informational services.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Bazaarist does not provide legal, medical, immigration, financial, insurance, security, or other regulated professional advice.

Contributor recommendations reflect personal experience, knowledge, or opinion.

5. Local Contributors

Bazaarist contributors may be selected based on firsthand experience with particular destinations.

Terms such as “verified,” “verified local,” “local,” or “contributor” do not mean that Bazaarist guarantees every statement, recommendation, judgment, or opinion supplied by that person.

Travel recommendations are subjective, and experiences may differ.

Bazaarist may edit contributor information for formatting, grammar, clarity, length, consistency, editorial quality, or accuracy while seeking to preserve its substance.

6. Ask a Local

Ask a Local enables eligible users to submit travel questions for responses informed by firsthand local knowledge.

Unless Bazaarist expressly states otherwise:

  • A question does not guarantee a response from a particular contributor.
  • Bazaarist may assign or reassign questions.
  • Response times may vary.
  • Bazaarist may request clarification.
  • Bazaarist may reject questions that violate our policies.
  • Bazaarist may moderate interactions.
  • Bazaarist may restore credits or issue refunds where appropriate under applicable service rules.

Ask a Local is an on-platform travel information service.

It may not be used to:

  • Arrange personal meetings between travelers and contributors
  • Exchange private contact information in order to continue the relationship outside Bazaarist
  • Solicit private services
  • Make or arrange off-platform payments
  • Pursue romantic or sexual relationships
  • Send inappropriate or sexually suggestive communications
  • Bypass Bazaarist's payment, credit, communication, moderation, or safety systems

Ask a Local should not be used for emergencies or as a substitute for professional or official assistance regarding health, safety, law enforcement, immigration, or other serious matters.

7. Personalized Itineraries

Bazaarist may offer personalized travel itineraries based on information you provide.

An itinerary is a suggested travel plan and does not guarantee the availability of any restaurant, business, hotel, attraction, event, transportation service, or activity.

Unless explicitly included in a purchased service, Bazaarist does not make reservations or bookings for you.

You remain responsible for confirming and purchasing individual trip components.

8. Accounts

Some features may require a Bazaarist account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Keep necessary information reasonably current
  • Protect your login credentials
  • Take reasonable precautions against unauthorized account access

You may not:

  • Impersonate another person
  • Create fraudulent or abusive accounts
  • Circumvent account restrictions
  • Allow another person to misuse your account
  • Sell or transfer your account without authorization

9. Communications Between Users and Contributors

Bazaarist communication features exist for legitimate travel-related interactions.

Users and contributors are expected to communicate respectfully, professionally, and within the intended purpose of the relevant Bazaarist Service.

Bazaarist may use automated detection, human moderation, or both to review communications when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, enforcement, dispute resolution, or operation of the Services.

10. No Personal Meetups

Travelers and Bazaarist contributors may not use Bazaarist to arrange or solicit personal in-person meetings with one another.

This prohibition applies regardless of whether the proposed meeting is:

  • Social
  • Informal
  • Unpaid
  • Paid
  • Described as a “tour”

A public business or attraction may of course be recommended as part of travel advice. The prohibition concerns the traveler and contributor arranging to meet each other personally.

Bazaarist may introduce expressly authorized in-person services in the future. If it does, those services will be governed by separate eligibility, safety, booking, and payment rules.

Unless Bazaarist expressly states otherwise, no in-person traveler-contributor interaction is authorized.

11. No Exchange of Private Contact Information for Off-Platform Contact

Users may not disguise contact information or intentionally circumvent filters or moderation systems.

Examples include spelling out a phone number, inserting spaces or symbols into an email address, using an image to transmit contact information, or directing someone to search for a personal social-media account.

This rule does not prohibit legitimate travel recommendations containing public business contact information, such as the public telephone number for a hotel, restaurant, tour company, airline, embassy, museum, or other third-party organization.

  • “Book with me through my personal website instead.”

Bazaarist may suspend or terminate accounts that attempt to circumvent the platform.

13. No Romantic, Sexual, or Inappropriate Solicitation

Bazaarist is a travel information and services platform, not a dating, companionship, or sexual-services platform.

  • Requests an off-platform payment
  • Asks to meet you personally
  • Requests private contact information
  • Sends inappropriate or sexual communications
  • Threatens or harasses you
  • Attempts to scam you
  • Pressures you to continue communication outside Bazaarist
  • Otherwise makes you uncomfortable in connection with Bazaarist

you may report the interaction to:

info@bazaarist.com

Bazaarist may investigate reports and take appropriate action.

17. Enforcement

Bazaarist may take action when it reasonably believes a user or contributor has violated these Terms.

  • May only be used for eligible Bazaarist services
  • May not be sold
  • May not be transferred between users
  • May not be exchanged for cash

Applicable credit, refund, expiration, or restoration rules will be provided through the relevant service.

19. Prices and Payments

Prices are displayed before purchase and may change for future purchases.

By making a purchase, you authorize Bazaarist and its payment providers to charge the payment method you provide for the amount displayed.

Bazaarist may cancel, refuse, reverse, or refund transactions when reasonably necessary because of fraud, payment errors, technical problems, service unavailability, or similar legitimate reasons.

20. Refunds and Cancellations

Refund eligibility depends on the applicable product or service.

Service-specific refund, revision, cancellation, and credit-restoration rules presented during checkout or through the relevant service form part of these Terms.

Unless otherwise stated or required by law, completed digital services may be non-refundable after substantial performance or delivery.

21. User Content

Bazaarist may allow you to submit questions, reviews, photographs, profile information, messages, recommendations, comments, feedback, or other material (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of User Content you own.
