Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not prevent Bazaarist from sending necessary transactional, account, security, application, service, or purchase-related communications.
6. Ask a Local
When you use Ask a Local, Bazaarist may collect:

- Destination
- Associated account information
- Communications relating to the question
- Contributor responses
- Moderation information
- Information necessary to administer the service
Ask a Local is intended to operate within Bazaarist.
Bazaarist may review related communications when reasonably necessary to detect or prevent prohibited conduct, including attempts to exchange private contact information, arrange personal meetups, solicit off-platform payments or services, or engage in inappropriate interactions.
Questions or answers may be made public only when the applicable feature indicates that they may be published or you otherwise authorize publication.

Travel questions, answers, reviews, photographs, recommendations, or other content may also be public when the relevant feature indicates that the information will be published.
Public information may be viewed, linked to, copied, indexed by search engines, or shared by others.
Contributor applications are not automatically public.
Submitting a contributor application does not create a public contributor profile.
11. Personal Contact Information
Bazaarist generally does not require travelers and contributors to exchange personal contact information with each other in order to use Bazaarist services.
Users and contributors are prohibited under the Bazaarist Terms of Use from exchanging private contact information when the purpose is to move a Bazaarist-originated interaction, service, relationship, or transaction off-platform.
This restriction does not prevent legitimate discussion of third-party travel information, such as a hotel's public telephone number or a restaurant's public contact information.
12. Sale of Personal Information
Bazaarist does not sell personal information for money.
If future advertising, analytics, or marketing practices constitute a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under applicable privacy law, Bazaarist will provide any notices or choices required by applicable law.

Bazaarist retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate legal, security, accounting, operational, and business purposes.

Contributor applicants must meet the minimum age requirements stated in the contributor application.
