Bazaarist Applicant Privacy Notice

When you submit an application, Bazaarist may collect:

• Name
• Preferred or public name
• Email address
• Age eligibility confirmation
• Country
• Cities or destinations you know firsthand
• Languages
• Availability
• Skills
• Relevant experience
• Written application responses
• Links or materials you voluntarily provide
• Information describing your firsthand connection to a destination
• Recruitment communications

If you progress through the selection process, we may also collect:

• Interview responses
• Interview notes
• Internal evaluations
• Application scores or screening information
• Application status
• Onboarding information
• Other information reasonably necessary to administer the application

Bazaarist does not ordinarily request payment information, government identification documents, or formal verification documents through the initial application.

If additional information is required later for verification, payments, agreements, tax administration, or legal compliance, it will be requested separately.

Bazaarist may use applicant information to:

• Receive and administer applications
• Evaluate contributor suitability
• Understand firsthand destination experience
• Assess communication abilities
• Review skills and relevant experience
• Identify possible contributor opportunities
• Contact applicants
• Request additional information
• Conduct interviews
• Make selection decisions
• Maintain waitlists
• Consider appropriate future opportunities
• Conduct onboarding
• Maintain recruitment records
• Detect duplicate submissions
• Detect spam, fraud, or abuse
• Evaluate potential misleading or automated applications
• Protect Bazaarist
• Comply with applicable law

Submitting an application does not guarantee an interview, selection, payment, assignment, or future opportunity.

Contributor applications are not public.

Applicant information may be accessed by authorized Bazaarist personnel who reasonably need it for recruitment, contributor operations, security, administration, or platform management.

Trusted service providers supporting Bazaarist's hosting, databases, communications, security, application management, analytics, or related systems may also process applicant information on Bazaarist's behalf.

Bazaarist may use automated tools to help organize, review, score, prioritize, or flag applications.

These tools may help identify:

• Incomplete applications
• Duplicate submissions
• Potential spam
• Potential fraud
• Possible inconsistencies
• Possible automated or AI-generated responses
• Other information relevant to contributor review

Automated indicators assist the review process and do not necessarily determine the final application outcome.

Potential AI-generated content does not automatically disqualify an applicant.

Applicants may be invited to participate in an interview.

Interview information may be reviewed, documented, summarized, evaluated, and added to the recruitment record.

If Bazaarist intends to record an interview, appropriate notice will be provided and consent obtained where required.

An interview does not automatically become public Bazaarist content.

Public use of interview materials beyond the recruitment purpose will be addressed through appropriate contributor agreements, permissions, or onboarding processes.

Applicants who become Bazaarist contributors will be required to comply with Bazaarist's contributor conduct and platform-safety requirements.

Among other rules, Bazaarist contributors may not use their relationship with Bazaarist to:

• Arrange personal meetups with travelers
• Solicit private travel clients
• Exchange private contact information for off-platform communication
• Request or accept off-platform payments
• Offer services outside Bazaarist to travelers encountered through Bazaarist
• Pursue romantic or sexual relationships with Bazaarist users
• Harass, threaten, exploit, or pressure travelers
• Request inappropriate personal or sensitive information
• Circumvent Bazaarist's communication, payment, moderation, or safety systems

Detailed obligations may be contained in the Terms of Use and Bazaarist Contributor Agreement.

Submitting an application does not create a public contributor profile.

If you are selected, Bazaarist may later ask you to provide or approve information for a public profile, which may include:

• Public name
• Photograph
• City
• Country
• Biography
• Local expertise
• Interests
• Contributor status
• Published contributions

Applicants should not send identification documents, banking information, payment credentials, tax documents, or other sensitive financial information unless Bazaarist specifically requests them through an authorized process.

If selected, you may later be asked to provide information required for identity verification, agreements, payment, tax administration, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Bazaarist does not sell contributor application information for money.

Applicant information may be processed by service providers supporting Bazaarist's recruitment and business systems.

Bazaarist may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate fraud or security incidents, protect Bazaarist or others, or establish or defend legal claims.

Bazaarist LLC is based in the United States and may accept applications internationally.

Applicant information may therefore be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Where legally required, appropriate international-transfer safeguards will be used.

Bazaarist may retain applicant and recruitment information for a reasonable period for:

• Recruitment administration
• Maintaining prior application records
• Future opportunities
• Fraud prevention
• Duplicate-submission prevention
• Security
• Dispute resolution
• Legal compliance
• Business recordkeeping

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, Bazaarist may delete or anonymize it.

You may request withdrawal of your contributor application at any time by emailing:

Withdrawal means Bazaarist will stop considering your application in the relevant recruitment process.

Some information may still be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate recordkeeping.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent regarding certain applicant information.

Bazaarist may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

If approved, relevant recruitment information may become part of your contributor records.

Your ongoing relationship may involve additional information relating to:

• Profile information
• Verification
• Agreements
• Assignments
• Communications
• Published contributions
• Compensation
• Payments
• Tax administration
• Conduct and policy enforcement
• Quality management

These matters may also be governed by the Bazaarist Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Contributor Agreement.

Bazaarist uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect applicant information.

No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Bazaarist may update this Applicant Privacy Notice as recruitment practices evolve.
